Whenever any words and phrases are used in this chapter, the
meanings respectively ascribed to them in Subtitle 1 of Title 39 of
the Revised Statutes of New Jersey shall be deemed to apply to such
words and phrases used herein.
All former traffic ordinances of the Township of Eastampton
are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent
the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed
in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking
effect of this chapter.
Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute
or except as specifically provided in some other section of this chapter,
every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this chapter
or any supplement thereto shall be liable to a penalty of not more
than $50 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days, or both.

The Township Council hereby establishes the following miscellaneous
regulations with respect to the enforcement of traffic laws and regulations
in the Township of Eastampton:
A. Any vehicle parked or standing as to obstruct or impede a normal
flow of traffic, block entrances or exitways, loading zones, oil fills,
any grass area or pedestrian walkway or present in any way a safety
or traffic hazard may be removed by towing the vehicle at the owner's
or operator's expense.
B. Signs, posts or other necessary material shall be installed in accordance
with the regulations of the State of New Jersey as administered by
the New Jersey Department of Transportation. All installation and
work shall be verified by the Eastampton Township Police Department
to ensure that said installation conforms with all state and federal
specifications. All signs and other designations shall conform to
the current New Jersey State Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
