A. It shall be unlawful to delay, hinder or obstruct any vehicle or
equipment engaged in the operation of snow removal on any street within
the Village.
B. Parking is prohibited on all public roads in the Village of Hillburn
during the following times:
(1) At any time when snow, sleet or ice is accumulating on the roadway.
(2) At any time after snow, sleet or ice has accumulated on the roadway
but before said snow has been cleared from the roadways.
(3) Between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m., if snowfall has
been forecast by the National Weather Service.
C. The owner or person in charge of or in control of any vehicle standing
in any such street shall move or cause the same to be moved so as
not to be in the path of the equipment plowing or clearing the streets
of snow during the above time frames.
D. Penalties for offenses. Each violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine of $100 per offense. Vehicles parked in violation of this chapter are subject to being impounded pursuant to §
230-10 of the Village of Hillburn Village Code.

The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in any of the following
locations:
A. On the north side of Brook Street, between its intersection with
Route 17 and its intersection with Sixth Street.
B. Both sides of Fifth Street, west of its intersection with Chestnut
Street, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
C. In any area designated by the Village Board as a recreation area
without prior Village Board permission.

D. The parking and standing of vehicles on both sides of Mountain Avenue
between its intersections with First Street and Second Street.

E. On the easterly side of Route 59 between the northerly edge of Blakeslee
Road and the southern edge of the Conrail railroad bridge and on the
westerly side of Route 59 between the northerly edge of Fourth Street
and the southerly edge of the Conrail railroad bridge.

F. On all
streets located within the Village, trucks with a gross weight of
five tons or more.

The Village Board of Trustees is hereby authorized to designate
certain areas within the Village of Hillburn as no-parking areas,
except for official vehicles of the Village or for vehicles on official
business with the Village. Upon posting such areas in accordance with
this section, there shall be no parking in such areas, except as designated
on the posted sign.

In addition to the areas designated in §
230-7 of this chapter and the areas designated as no parking except for official use, the Village Board of Trustees is hereby authorized to designate any other area of the Village as no-parking areas by resolution of the Board of Trustees. Upon posting such areas in accordance with this section, there shall be no parking in said areas.
