There is hereby created the position of Plumbing Inspector of
the Township of West Manchester. Said Plumbing Inspector shall work
under the direction of the Sewer Committee Chairman. It shall be his
duty to supervise and inspect all plumbing work to ensure that the
same is done in conformity with the provisions of this chapter, and
in conformity with the plans and specifications for which the plumbing
permit was issued. All applications for plumbing permits, together
with the drawings and other data, shall be submitted to the Plumbing
Inspector. No permit shall be issued by the Township Permit Officer
until the same has been authorized, in writing, by the Plumbing Inspector.
The Plumbing Inspector shall keep suitable records of all permits
issued, including drawings and other pertinent data.
The Plumbing Inspector shall be identified by an official badge.
The Plumbing Inspector shall, after proper identification, have the
right to enter any premises for the purpose of inspecting any plumbing
system at such times as may be reasonably necessary to protect the
public health. The Plumbing Inspector shall not be required to enter
trenches or other areas which, in his opinion, may be unsafe.
