All streets and roads shall have a minimum width of 50 feet,
provided that, where a width of 50 feet shall be impractical or cause
undue hardship, a lesser width may be approved by a majority vote
of the Board.
All dead-end streets shall have a turnaround with a minimum
diameter of 100 feet.
Survey monuments consisting of three-foot-long, three-fourths-inch-diameter
iron rods driven to grade and concreted 18 inches below grade shall
be located at bends, at corners and wherever directed by the Village
Board and the Village Superintendent of Streets.
The right-of-way shall be graded or improved with pavements
in accordance with the minimum street specifications of the Village
of Cornwall-on-Hudson, as amended.
Where curbs are used, the same shall be placed 10 feet from
the side line of the right-of-way in anticipation of future sidewalk
installations.
All road work wherein it is proposed a road shall be taken over
by the village shall be subject to inspection by the Village Superintendent
of Streets and the Village Board.
Water mains, hydrants, sewer lines or drainage systems, as the
case may be, shall be installed under the direction of the village
or in accordance with the specifications of the village and the state
prior to acceptance.
When plans for development are filed in the County Clerk's office,
a set showing street, water, sewer and utility layouts, or so much
as may apply, shall be filed with the Village Clerk.
Utility poles shall all be located within the right-of-way of
the streets.
