City of Garfield, NJ Article III New Service

§ 333-19 Service for new construction.

A. In the event of new construction of a single-family, two-family, multifamily residence or commercial property, the owner of that property shall be required to replace or install the waterline from the structure to the main line. The cost of said installation shall be the sole responsibility of the property owner. The Garfield Water Department will perform the necessary water tap and inspect the sewer waterline; however, all costs associated with the same including, without being limited to, all overtime costs incurred by the City shall be the responsibility of the property owner.

B. In the event of new construction of a single-family, two-family, multifamily residence or commercial property, the owner of that property shall be required to replace or install the sewer line from the structure to the main sewer line. The cost of said installation shall be the sole responsibility of the property owner. All costs associated with the same, including, without being limited to, all overtime costs incurred by the City, shall be the responsibility of the property owner.
