For the purpose of this chapter, the following words shall have the following meaning:
LASER BEAM POINTER DEVICE
Any device capable of focusing, pointing, or shining a laser beam directly or indirectly upon another person or animal.
It shall be unlawful for any person to focus, point, or shine a laser beam directly or indirectly upon another person or animal in such a manner as to unreasonably cause harassment or annoyance to said person or animal.
Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $1,000, together with the costs of prosecution, and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days. Every day that a violation of this chapter continues shall constitute a separate offense.
