[Adopted 12-21-2010 by Ord. No. 1361]
This article shall be known as "Post-Retirement Medical Health Benefits."
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
POST-RETIREMENT BENEFITS
The medical, prescription, vision and dental benefits offered by the Borough to its eligible nonretired unrepresented employees, as such benefits may change from time to time; provided, however, should such medical, prescription, vision and/or dental benefits, upon a retiree's retirement, be provided by the New Jersey State Health Benefits Program or such other medical plan then offered by the Borough, for which the retiree is eligible (collectively the "Medical Plan"), then the eligible retiree shall receive the medical, prescription, vision and/or dental benefits provided under the Medical Plan, regardless of whether the benefits offered under such Medical Plan are different from those provided to nonretired unrepresented Borough employees, and the Borough shall not be responsible for any difference in cost, including, without limitation, differences in co-pays for office visits and/or prescriptions, for which the retiree shall be responsible. Post-retirement benefits are subject to change by the Borough, at its discretion, and may not necessarily be the same level of benefits an employee received upon the date of retirement.
