The County may prohibit and otherwise regulate parking of vehicles
on County property. The Department of Public Works will, by the erection
of appropriate signs, indicate the method of parking and that vehicles
illegally parked thereon shall be subject to seizure and impoundment.
The County or any law enforcement agency shall have the right
to remove any vehicle illegally parked on County property. Such vehicles
shall be removed by the County or hired towing vehicles to the grounds
designated by the County.
The towing, storage and other charges incurred shall be paid
by any person violating any provision of this article before such
person may reclaim the vehicle.
The sale of illegally parked vehicles shall be made pursuant to the provisions of Article
VI, Impoundment, of this chapter.
The County or its designee shall maintain a record of each vehicle
which is towed or moved pursuant to the provisions of this article,
so that a vehicle owner or operator may determine the location of
the vehicle by calling the County. Such designee shall also submit
daily, in writing, any record of such towing to the State Police barracks
in the County and to the Sheriff's Department.
