The terms of office for the elected positions of Town Highway
Superintendent and Town Clerk of the Town of Schroeppel which are
to commence January 1, 1980, shall be for four years, and all successive
terms of office for the positions of Town of Schroeppel Highway Superintendent
and Town Clerk shall be for terms of four years.
This article shall supersede in its application to the Town
of Schroeppel § 24 of the Town Law.
This article shall take effect immediately upon its filing in
the office of the Secretary of State in accordance with the provisions
of § 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law; however, the aforegoing
notwithstanding, this article is subject to a mandatory referendum
pursuant to the terms of § 23 of the Municipal Home Rule
Law.[1]
