Be it ordained and enacted by the Town Council of the Borough,
and it is hereby ordained and enacted by and with authority of the
same, that the following be the official plan of the Borough for street
numbering.
A. The numbering of streets and avenues parallel with Lincoln Avenue
shall be in blocks of 100, with the even numbers on the north side
of said streets and avenues, as follows:
(1) Beginning at the eastern line of said Borough block to 100 and extending
to Margaretta Street.
(2) Block of 100 beginning with Margaretta Street and extending to a
point opposite the western line of Grant Avenue.
(3) Block of 200 from a point opposite the western line of Grant Avenue
to the eastern line of Myrtle Avenue.
(4) Block of 300 from Myrtle Avenue to Thomas Avenue.
(5) Block of 400 from Thomas Avenue to Rodgers Avenue.
(6) Block of 500 from Rodgers Avenue to Jackson Avenue.
(7) Block of 600 beginning at the intersection of Jackson Avenue and
Lincoln Avenue and terminating at the western line of the Borough.
B. The odd numbers of said avenues shall be as follows:
(1) Beginning at the easterly line of the Borough to Margaretta Street,
block of Nos. 1 to 99.
(2) From Margaretta Street to Grant Avenue, block 101 to 199.
(3) From Grant Avenue to Euclid Avenue, block of 201 to 299.
(4) From Euclid Avenue to Fremont Street, block of 301 to 399.
(5) From Fremont Street to South Rodgers Avenue, block of 401 to 499.
(6) From South Rodgers Avenue to Sherman Avenue, block of 501 to 599.
(7) From Sherman Avenue to the western boundary of the Borough, block
601.
All street, avenues or alleys running parallel with Lincoln
Avenue shall, as far as possible, bear a number corresponding with
the blocks on Lincoln Avenue, with the even numbers on the north side
and the uneven numbers on the south; provided, however, where the
course of any street, avenue or alley shall vary from Lincoln Avenue
so that a corresponding number cannot be used, from such point of
variance the numbers shall read consecutively to the end of said street,
avenue or alley.
All streets, avenues or alleys running north and south from
Lincoln Avenue shall be numbered consecutively, the even numbers on
the right side of the street, avenue or alley and the uneven numbers
on the left, beginning with one and two at Lincoln Avenue.
All streets running north and south from Lincoln Avenue which
do not connect with Lincoln Avenue shall be given, as far as is possible,
a number corresponding with the numbers on the nearest parallel street
extending north or south from Lincoln Avenue.
In all numbering, a number shall be given for every 20 feet
of frontage.

On and after the passage of this Article
II, it shall be the duty of each and every owner, trustee, lessee, agent and occupant of each and every house, building or other structure in the Borough of Bellevue to cause the same to be numbered in accordance with Article
I and the system and plan thereby adopted and approved.
All numbering shall be in accordance with Article
I and the plan and system established therein. In the event said Article
I did not make provision for the numbering of any area, the numbering thereof shall be directed by the Director of Administrative Services.
Owners of property where the house number now in use falls on the lot described in the deed or deeds upon which the house, building or other structure is erected shall not receive new numbers; provided, however, that in case of future building on the lot new numbers will be assigned in accordance with the 20 feet spacing as provided in §
184-5.
