A. 
Taxicab license fees.
(1) 
The annual fee for a taxicab owner's license shall be $50. The license shall be effective for a period from January 1 to December 31.
(2) 
The annual taxicab driver's license fee shall be $50. The license shall be effective for a period from January 1 to December 31.
B. 
Autocab license fees. The fee for the autocab owner's license and the fee for the autocab driver's license shall be $50. All licenses shall be effective for a period from January 1 to December 31 of each calendar year.
C. 
Taxicab license renewal fees. The annual renewal fee for a taxicab owner's license shall be $35 for a single taxicab; provided, however, that should the owner thereof have more than one taxicab, then and in such an event, the annual renewal fee for each additional taxicab shall be $25 payable to the Clerk's office. The license shall be effective for a one-year period from January 1 to December 31.

D. 
Establishment of taxicab rates. No owner or driver of a taxicab or other vehicle for hire shall charge a greater sum for the use of said vehicle that in accordance with the following rates:

(1) 
Mileage rates: $3 for the first mile or fraction thereof; $1.50 for each additional meter mile. Fractions of each mile shall be calculated at the rate of $0.15 per 1/10 of a mile.
(2) 
Plus $0.50 for each article of luggage or baggage for each passenger.
(3) 
Waiting time at the rate of $0.20 for each minute.
A. 
Power of attorney. No taxicab license shall be issued until the applicant therefor shall have delivered to the Township Clerk, concurrently with the filing of the insurance policy referred to herein, a power of attorney executed by the applicant, wherein and whereby the applicant shall appoint the Township Clerk his, her or its true and lawful attorney for the purpose of acknowledging service of any process of a court of competent jurisdiction to be served against the insured by virtue of the indemnity granted under the insurance policy filed.
B. 
Compliance with state law. Nothing in this chapter shall exempt any person owning or operating a taxicab or owning or operating an autocab from complying with the laws relating to the ownership, regulation and operation of taxicabs and autocabs in this state.
A. 
Any person found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be liable to a fine of not more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both. In addition thereto, any license issued pursuant to this chapter may be suspended or revoked, which shall include crimes of moral turpitude. Each succeeding day of a violation may be construed as a new violation.
B. 
In the event that a taxicab or autocab is being operated by a party who does not have a taxicab driver's license, in the case of taxicabs, or an autocab driver's license, in the case of an autocab, as the case may be, then they shall be subject to the penalty provisions as are set forth in Subsection A above.
