The Select Board is hereby authorized to adopt, and from time
to time to amend, as necessary, such regulations as it shall deem
in the public interest to require the recycling of any type of solid
waste, including but not limited to paper, glass, metal and plastics.
A. Such regulations shall provide, at a minimum, for the separation
of designated recyclable material or materials from other solid waste
and shall conform to the requirements of applicable General Laws.
B. Such regulations shall apply to specified places of generation, including
at a minimum:
(1) Places
of generation within Foxborough for which the Town has assumed a direct
or contractual responsibility to collect, transport or dispose of
municipal solid waste; and
(2) All
residential structures not exceeding three dwelling units in any one
building.
The Board may establish fines for violations of such regulations
not to exceed $50 per violation.
