Every person riding a horse upon any public street within the
City shall obey the following rules and regulations governing the
riding of horses:
A. The rider shall be 10 years of age or older. Children under 10 may
ride when accompanied by an adult on another horse.
B. Horses shall be ridden on the traveled portion only of designated
streets, whether paved or not, and as near the right-hand side of
the roadway as practicable, exercising due care when passing a parked
vehicle.
C. Persons riding horses upon a designated roadway shall ride in single
file.
D. There shall be only one rider on each horse.
E. No one shall ride a horse except between the hours designated as
1/2 hour before sunrise and 1/2 hour after sunset.
F. Horses shall be thoroughly broken and properly restrained and ridden
with due care. The riders of horses shall not unduly impede the movement
of motor vehicles and, except when impracticable, shall yield the
right-of-way to motor vehicles.
G. No person shall ride, drive or lead any horses or any vehicles drawn
by horses upon any part of the street right-of-way, including the
paved portion thereof and the sidewalk, sidewalk space and parkway.
