The salary of the Mayor is hereby fixed in the amount of $9,000
per annum, paid in biweekly payments.

The salaries of members of City Council and the Controller are
hereby fixed in the amount of $7,000 per annum, said salaries to be
paid biweekly.
The salary of the City Treasurer of the City of Washington be
and the same is hereby fixed and established at $100 per annum.

The salary fixed in §
60-4 hereof shall be in full payment for all services that may be rendered the City as City Treasurer, and the Treasurer shall receive no additional salary or compensation for any service that he may render the City or any department thereof in such capacity; provided, however, the City Treasurer as Tax Collector shall receive the salary that shall be fixed jointly by the taxing districts for which he serves; i.e., the sum of $5,450 to be paid by the School District of the City of Washington and the sum of $5,450 to be paid by the City of Washington, ($9,000 per annum for Tax Collector, and $1,900 per annum for Collector of 511 Taxes), as prescribed by law; a total of $10,900 per annum.

Said salaries are to be paid in biweekly installments.

In addition to the compensation provided for by ordinance for
the Mayor and members of City Council, as well as the City Treasurer
and the City Controller, the City shall provide health care insurance
coverage for the Mayor of the City of Washington, City Council members
of the City of Washington, the City Controller and the City Treasurer,
and their spouses and children through age 18, consistent with the
health care coverage provided to officers and employees of the City
of Washington.

The positions of employment in the various departments of the
City of Washington, Pennsylvania, together with the number of employees
and the compensation for the said positions, shall be as set forth
in the attached schedule, which is incorporated herein by reference
thereto.
The duties applicable to the various positions set forth in
the attached schedule shall be such as may be assigned thereto by
law and such as may be assigned thereto by the head of the department
or by City Council.
Nothing in this article shall prevent City Council from electing
one person to two or more positions at the combined salaries for said
positions or for such portion of said salaries as City Council may
determine to be proper at the time of the appointment; providing,
however, such shall not be incompatible or forbidden by law.

All of the salaries designated herein shall be paid biweekly for services rendered to the City of Washington, Pennsylvania, in any manner whatsoever during said period, except as provided in §
60-12 hereof.
Any employee of the City of Washington, Pennsylvania, shall,
in addition to the aforesaid specific duties assigned to him, perform
such other duties as may be delegated to him by the head of the department
or by City Council, and without any extra compensation, unless, under
specific circumstances and as specifically authorized by resolution
or ordinance of City Council; providing, however, that such additional
duties shall not interfere with the proper performance of the duties
regularly delegated to said position.
This article shall become effective upon final passage and shall
be applicable to and for the year 1986.
