Annexing lots of a section of land lying adjacent to the northern boundary of the Borough of Gettysburg. The boundaries of the annexed territory were: beginning on Broadway at the point of intersection of the west side of Carlisle Street with the Borough line; thence on the prolongation of the line of the west side of Carlisle Street northeastwardly 107 feet to the land of Mervin Rebert; thence along that land northwestwardly 156 feet to the east side of a proposed alley located 102 feet from Broadway; thence along the north side of that alley northwestwardly 1,974 feet to a point on land of Ella S. Keller; thence along that land southwestwardly 61 feet to land of Marvin Winter; thence along that land southwestwardly 200 feet to the Borough line.

Annexing lots of a section of land lying adjacent to the western boundary of the Borough of Gettysburg. The annexed territory began at a point on the southeast side of a road erroneously called Seminary Avenue, at its intersection with West Middle Street, thence southwestwardly along Fairfield Road 632 feet, thence northeastwardly through private property 1903.3 feet, thence southeastwardly through private property 246.5 feet to the Borough line at Seminary Avenue; thence along the Borough line and Seminary Avenue to the place of beginning.

Annexing certain adjacent land in Cumberland Township, to the Borough of Gettysburg, upon the petition of all the free-holders of the territory proposed to be annexed. The annexed territory began at the Borough line on the east side of Carlisle Street; thence extended northeastwardly and southeastwardly 270.25 feet to an alley; thence northeastwardly 312 feet along the alley to land of the County Alms House; thence along the Alms house land southeastwardly 247.2 feet; thence southwestwardly 190.5 feet along a hedge fence to a corner; thence southeastwardly 628 feet to the Harrisburg Road; thence southwestwardly 259.5 feet to the place of beginning.

Annexing certain adjacent land in Cumberland Township to the Borough of Gettysburg upon the petition of all free-holders of the territory proposed to be annexed. The annexed area, comprising 108 perches and 71 square feet began on the west side of the Taneytown Road, extended southeastwardly along that road for 301 feet; thence northwestwardly through land of Charles Crampton 232 feet; thence northeastwardly by land of Walter E. Johns, Samuel Weikert and O.B. Sharetts 191 feet; thence northwestwardly 130.6 feet to a point on the east side of Steinwehr Avenue; thence along Steinwehr Avenue northeastwardly 26 feet to a stake on the original Borough line; thence along that line 255.1 feet to the place of beginning.

The boundaries of the annexed area began on the Borough line on the east side of the State highway leading to Emmitsburg and at land of Kermit Deardorff; thence extended along that highway southwestwardly 37 feet; thence by land of O.B. Sharetts 130.6 feet southeastwardly; thence southeastwardly 48.2 feet; thence southwestwardly by land of Samuel Weikert and Walter Johns 191 feet; thence southwestwardly 232 feet to the Taneytown Road; thence northwestwardly along the Taneytown Road 301 feet to a point on the Borough line; thence along the west edge of the stone wall of the National Cemetery southeastwardly 903 feet; thence crossing the Taneytown Road and land of the U.S. Government northwestwardly 625.01 feet; thence southwestwardly 179.5 feet to a U.S. corner stone; thence by the U.S. Government land southwestwardly and northwestwardly 317.75 feet; thence southwestwardly 713.2 feet along the Emmitsburg Highway; thence northwestwardly by land of the U.S. Government 216.88 feet; thence northeastwardly by land of William H. This refers to a tract of land, belonging to Joseph E. and Grace L. Cordori, comprising approximately 1 acre and 6 perches, beginning at the west curb line of the Harrisburg Road at the old Borough line 131 feet to the projection of the County Home property line, thence southeastwardly along the County Home property line 632 feet, thence by the same 14 feet southeastwardly to the old Borough line, thence along the old Borough line 676 feet northwestwardly to the place of beginning.

Annexing certain land in Cumberland Township, adjacent to the southern boundary of the Borough of Gettysburg, upon petition of a majority of the freeholders of the territory proposed to be annexed. This refers to a tract of land beginning at a point on the original Borough line on the east side of Steinwehr Avenue at the line between property of Kermit Deardorff and O.B. Sharetts; thence following the original Borough line on that property line southeastwardly 178.8 feet; thence by various courses southwestwardly and southeastwardly along the Borough line to the west side of the Taneytown Road, and along that side of the road 301 feet; thence crossing the road 37.6 feet, still along the Borough line; thence along the east side of the Taneytown Road and along lands of the U.S. Government southeastwardly 583.3 feet; thence recrossing to the west side of the road and northwestwardly along private property 435 feet to a point on the property line between C.L. Butt and George D. Rosensteel, which point was 180 feet east of the east side of the State highway to Emmitsburg; thence southwestwardly through private property 708 feet to a point on the line of lands of the U.S. Government; thence along the property of the U.S. Government northwestwardly 151.15 feet to a point in the center of the State highway to Emmitsburg; thence along the center of that highway southwestwardly 713.2 feet; thence along the property line of the U.S. Government northwestwardly 198.53 feet to a point 170 feet, measured perpendicularly, from the west side of that State highway; thence running parallel with that highway at a uniform distance of 170 feet from the west side of it and in and along or near a proposed alley, northeastwardly 1774.6 feet to a point on the original Borough line; thence along the original Borough line southeastwardly 227.8 feet to a point on the east side of Steinwehr Avenue; thence along the east side of that Avenue southwestwardly 23 feet to the place of beginning.

Annexing certain land in Cumberland Township, adjacent to the northern boundary of the Borough of Gettysburg, upon petition of a majority of the freeholders of the territory proposed to be annexed. This tract of land, comprising 3 acres and 76 perches began at the west side of a public alley at the corner of a lot owned by William and Eleanor Jacobs and Charles and Mary Jacobs; thence extended along the alley southwestwardly 312 feet to the property of McElroy and Toxell; thence northwestwardly 175.25 feet through the McElroy and Troxell property to a point on the east side of Carlisle Street; thence southwestwardly 95 feet by Carlisle Street and Troxell land to a point on the Borough line; thence northwestwardly along the Borough line 222 feet to a point on the east side of a 12-foot alley at the corner of property of the Clarence Roberts Estate; thence northeastwardly by that alley and the Borough line 124 feet; a point on the west side of the alley and at the corner of Gettysburg College property; thence by the alley and College land northeastwardly 321 feet; thence by College land southeastwardly 216.5 feet to a point on the continuation of Carlisle Street; thence in that street northeastwardly 58.5 feet to a point; thence by County property southwestwardly 209.4 feet to the place of beginning.

Annexing certain land in Cumberland Township to the Borough of Gettysburg, upon petition of a majority in number of all of the freeholders of the territory to be annexed. This tract, comprising 26 acres and 117 perches, to be annexed to the Third Ward; began at a point on the original Borough line on the east side of a proposed alley west of Steinwehr Avenue where the section of the Borough line that was annexed under the ordinance listed in Section A-7, above, intersected the original Borough line, the point being 174.4 feet southwest of the south curb line of Queen Street; thence along the old Borough line along lots on the west side of Steinwehr Avenue southwestwardly 991.9 feet to a point 120 feet south of a proposed street; thence through land of the Colt Park Development Company northwestwardly 1504 feet to land of the U.S. Government; thence along land of the U.S. Government northeastwardly and southeastwardly 625.6 feet to a point on the original Borough line; thence by the original Borough line southeastwardly through land of the Gettysburg School District and Colt Park Development southeastwardly 1486 feet to the place of beginning.

Annexing certain land in Cumberland Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania, a township of the second class, to the Borough of Gettysburg, upon petition of a majority in number of all the freeholders of the territory to be annexed. The annexed area began at a point on the original Borough line (1946 ordinance) on the line of lands of the U.S. Government and the corner of land of the Colt Park Development Company at the rear of lots fronting on the west side of Steinwehr Avenue; thence northwestwardly 995 feet by U.S. Government land to a Government marker; thence northwestwardly by the same 427 feet to another Government marker; thence northeastwardly by the same 341 feet to another Government marker; thence northeastwardly by the same 376 feet to a corner of the Borough line (1953 ordinance); thence by the 1953 Borough line southwestwardly 1504 feet to the Borough line (1946 ordinance); thence southwestwardly 783.5 feet to the place of beginning. The area was annexed to the Third Ward.

The annexed area began at a point on the Borough line at the south side of the land or right-of-way of Western Maryland Railroad; thence extended southwardly along the Borough line, for 525 feet, crossing Route 30, to the northern boundary line of Homer Young's land (or an eastward projection of that line); thence westwardly approximately 225 feet to land of the United States of America; thence northeastwardly approximately 235 feet along the boundary between United States land and that of the Larson Corporation to a point in the center of Route 30; thence along the center of Route 30 approximately 220 feet westwardly to a point at the corner of land of the United States and land of the Larson Corporation; thence northeastwardly approximately 340 feet along boundary line between land of the United States and that of the Larson Corporation to a point along the south side of the land or right-of-way of the Western Maryland Railroad; thence along that south side of railroad land or right-of-way, approximately 293 feet southeastwardly to the place of beginning.
