There shall be elected a Board of Library Directors consisting of six members who shall serve for four years as is provided by statute (75 ILCS 5/1 et seq.).

In the event of a vacancy on the Board of Directors, the remaining Directors shall choose a person to fill that vacancy until the next election.
The Board of Directors shall have such powers and duties as that given by statute.
The special tax shall be levied and collected each year as is provided in 75 ILCS 5/1 et seq.

The Board of Directors shall make a report on the financial condition of the library within 30 days after the termination of the fiscal year of the Village, this report shall be filed with the Board of Trustees and shall be made in the manner provided for in 75 ILCS 5/1 et seq. A copy of this report shall also be filed with the Illinois State Library at the same time, as is also provided in the aforementioned statute. The Board shall make such other reports as may be requested from time to time by the Board of Trustees of the Village.
The Board of Directors shall have the power to make reasonable rules and regulations governing the use of the library, in addition to the library regulations set forth in Chapter 186, Library, of this Code, and may exclude from the library any person or persons who willfully and continually violate such rules.
