Act No. 323, 1978 Session 35 Pa.C.S.A. § 7101 et seq.,
effective November 26, 1978, directs each local subdivision of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to establish a local emergency management
organization in accordance with the plan and program of the Pennsylvania
Emergency Management Agency and further directs that each local organization
shall have responsibility for emergency management, response and recovery
within the territorial limits of the political subdivision within
which the organization is organized; it is therefore the purpose of
this Part to establish an Office of Emergency Preparedness For Susquehanna
Township and to establish the position of Coordinator of Emergency
Preparedness.

Susquehanna Township, in response to the above statute, hereby
establishes the Susquehanna Township Office of Emergency Preparedness
and Communication.

Susquehanna Township further establishes the position of Coordinator
of Emergency Preparedness. The appointed Coordinator will follow the
Susquehanna Township Office of Emergency Preparedness job description
in performing his duties and shall perform any other duties directed
to be performed by the governing body in accordance with the Emergency
Management Services Code.
