A. 
A Park Board is hereby established by the City of Lake Tapawingo. The purpose of the Park Board shall be to advise the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor on matters concerning City parks, including the acquisition of property and equipment for the new City parks.
B. 
The Park Board shall be advisory only and shall not have any authority other than that specifically granted by the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor.

A. 
The Mayor shall appoint, with approval of the Board of Aldermen, three (3) persons to serve on the Park Board. Each Park Board Member shall serve a term of three (3) years, with the terms being staggered so that the term of one (1) member expires each year.
B. 
The initial three (3) Park Board Members shall be appointed for terms of one (1) year, two (2) years and three (3) years, so that the term of one (1) member will expire June 1, 1996, one (1) term will expire June 1, 1997, and one (1) term will expire June 1, 1998.
C. 
Thereafter, appointments of members to the Park Board shall be for terms of three (3) years. The terms shall start June first (1st) of the year in which the member is appointed.

A. 
The Park Board shall meet at least once every two (2) months. One (1) member of the Park Board shall keep written minutes of the meetings which shall be submitted to the Board of Aldermen and the Mayor.
B. 
Park Board meetings shall be open to the public and dates and times of meetings shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation for the City of Lake Tapawingo.
