In accordance with § 24-a of the New York Town Law, the term of office of Town Supervisor of the Town of Cazenovia shall be changed from two years to four years, beginning with the person elected to the position and taking office on and after January 1, 2016.
This action is subject to mandatory referendum, which shall take place at the biennial election to be held on November 5, 2013.[1]

A proposition shall appear on the general election ballot in the Town of Cazenovia on November 5, 2013, which shall read as follows:
A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE TOWN SUPERVISOR OF THE TOWN OF CAZENOVIA FROM TWO YEARS TO FOUR YEARS
"Shall a resolution adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Cazenovia, County of Madison, a resolution changing the term of office of the Town Supervisor in the Town of Cazenovia from two years to four years, be approved, thereby changing the term of office of the Town Supervisor in the Town of Cazenovia for persons elected to that position and taking office on and after January 1, 2016?"
