The Park and Recreation Board and/or Parks and Recreation Director
may for good cause suspend, forfeit, cancel or revoke any license
or privileges, to be terminated immediately and in certain cases,
indefinitely.

Whenever in the provisions of this Article the decision of the
Park and Recreation Board is provided for in suspending, forfeiting,
cancelling or revoking licenses or privileges or refusing to grant
the same, its decision shall be final, unless appealed to the Board
of Aldermen on or before the fifth (5th) day following the day notice
of such decision is given, except when the fifth (5th) day falls on
a Sunday, a legal holiday or a day when the City Hall is closed, then
the appeal may be made on the following business day. The appeal shall
be filed with the City Clerk, shall substantially set forth the grievance
of the party appealing and shall be heard and determined, unless taken
under advisement, at the next regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen.

The park supervisor is authorized, upon the direction of the
Park and Recreation Board, to post notices governing certain areas
and certain uses of the park and the violation of such notices is
hereby prohibited.

Any section or part of any park may be declared closed to the
public by the park supervisor upon the direction of the Park and Recreation
Board at any time and for any interval of time, either temporarily
or at regular and stated intervals (daily or otherwise) and either
entirely or merely to certain uses, as the Board shall find reasonably
necessary.

No person shall expose or offer for sale any article or thing,
nor shall he/she station or place any stand, cart or vehicle for the
transportation or sale or display of any such article or thing. This
Section shall not apply to duly licensed concessions acting by authority
of the Park and Recreation Board.

It shall be unlawful for any person to hunt, shoot, kill, trap, injure, pursue or molest in any way any bird or animal on or within a City park, except as stated in Section
210.181.

Bathing, swimming or wading in all City lakes is prohibited, except as provided in Section
225.380 of this Code.

Camping in the park is prohibited except in the areas set aside
for organized youth groups to be used only by special permission secured
from the Chairman of the Park and Recreation Board or the Director
of Parks and Recreation.

Shelter houses in City parks may be used only by reservation.
Such reservations may be secured from the park supervisor.

Priority for use in certain posted areas in the City parks shall
be determined by reservation, which reservations shall be secured
from the park supervisor.

It shall be unlawful for any person to carry or possess any
firearm into or in any building under the control of the Park and
Recreation Board when that building has been posted to prohibit the
possession of firearms within the building.

It shall be unlawful for any person to pollute any lake or pond
water in any way or dump trash or litter on any property under the
control of the Park and Recreation Board.

The building, starting or maintaining of fires in any place
where the proper provisions have been made therefor by the park officials
is permitted. Any recreational burning, to include but not be limited
to bonfires and campfires, must obtain a permit from the Harrisonville
Fire Department.

Horseback riding on paved or improved roads or in posted areas
of property under the control of the Park and Recreation Board is
prohibited. Dogs in the park must be tied with a chain or controlled
by a leash.

The speed limit on park roads is twenty (20) miles per hour,
however, permanent or temporary lower speed limit zones therein may
be established by the Park and Recreation Board and posted accordingly.
Stop signs and yield signs, parking signs and other traffic control
signs shall be located and posted by direction of the Park and Recreation
Board at such locations as it deems necessary for the safety and protection
of the citizens.

Motor vehicles, which are hereby defined to include motorcycles,
motor scooters and self-propelled bicycles, not properly equipped
with mufflers shall not be operated or used within lake areas. All
motor vehicles shall be driven only on established roadways and shall
be parked only on established roadways so as not to block traffic
and at such places as may be designated as parking zones. Parking
in any other area of the park is hereby prohibited. No motor vehicle
shall be washed upon the park property.

A. It
shall be unlawful for any person to be upon ATVs, roller skates or
skateboards, or riding in or by means of any coaster, toy vehicle,
motorized scooter, motorized play vehicle, or similar device while
in or upon any portion of any park premises unless specifically designated
therefore; provided however, this provision shall not apply to a show,
exhibition, demonstration or other activity which is a part of a special
event being sponsored on park premises, nor shall this provision apply
to child carrying devices such as baby strollers, carriages or wagons,
or to a disabled person.
B. Golf
carts while being operated to and from a public golf course or when
being utilized for civic functions or on the golf course are allowed.
