No vehicle shall be parked for a period in excess of 1/2 hour at the following locations:

Holders of valid permits shall be excused from the parking prohibitions set forth in this section so long as the permit is properly displayed in the parked vehicle. Only noncommercial, private passenger vehicles, otherwise permitted by this chapter may park in the above-described permit parking zones. The issuance of a permit for the permit parking zone does not guarantee parking. A resident of a property located within a permit parking zone may register his/her vehicle with the Borough and be issued a parking permit to be placed within the vehicle thus permitting the resident to park his/her registered vehicle with properly displayed permit during the above listed days and times without penalty. Proper identification, vehicle registration showing address of the applicant, Pennsylvania registration, valid insurance certificate, and proof of residence within the permit parking zone shall be submitted when making application. Residents living in a permit parking zone shall be issued a permit for each qualified vehicle which is properly insured and which is registered to an address within the permit parking zone.

Authorization for any handicapped parking spaces shall expire one year from the first New Year's Day following designation of such area as a handicapped parking space by the Borough Council of the Borough of Lansdale.

The Borough parking lot, bounded by Railroad Avenue, Montgomery Avenue, the Century Plaza parking lot and the Lansdale Police Station, more fully described in the attached Exhibit B,[3] is hereby designated as a "Borough Employee Parking Only" zone, and all other parking therein is hereby prohibited. The appropriate erection of signs indicating the parking restrictions set forth herein is hereby authorized.

Unlawful to deposit coin in meter to extend parking time beyond the legal limit. In the following areas, it shall be unlawful and a violation of this chapter for any person to deposit or cause to be deposited in any parking meter any coin for the purpose of increasing or extending the parking time of any vehicle beyond the total legal parking time in a parking meter zone:
