A. 
The term "residence service," as used in this article, shall mean the dwelling and appurtenant equipment of a single private family for the domestic requirements of its members. As such, service shall include, but not necessarily be limited to:
(1) 
The premises occupied as living quarters for a family of persons who unite to establish a common dwelling place for their own personal comfort and convenience on a cost-sharing basis.
(2) 
The premises owned by a church and primarily designated or set aside for and actually occupied and used as the dwelling place of a priest, rabbi, rector, pastor, nun or other functioning church divine and his or her resident associates.
(3) 
Private dwellings in which space is used for not more than one apartment.
(4) 
Trailers, tents or other temporary buildings if used as a dwelling with cooking facilities installed.
B. 
The term "residence service" shall not include, among other things, the following:
(1) 
The space in an apartment or other residential building primarily devoted to a professional or other office, studio and other gainful pursuit.
A. 
Service. Residence service, when used through the same meter and in conjunction with general service, will be billed at the general service rate unless the consumer so separates and arranges his wiring that residence use can be separately metered and makes a separate application for residence service.
B. 
Power supply. Power supplied under this section shall be one-hundred-twenty/two-hundred-forty-volt, single-phase, sixty-cycle, alternating current. No device which, in the sole opinion of the Borough, causes serious voltage fluctuations will be permitted.
C. 
Service rate. Residence service electric rates shall be established and changed from time to time by resolution of the Lansdale Borough Council.
