The purpose of this position is to provide the Village of Bosque
Farms with clerical, dispatch and supportive services to the Village
Police and the Municipal Court. The position functions under the supervision
of the Chief of Police for the police work and the Municipal Judge
for the judicial work.
The minimum requirements for the Police/Court Clerk are:
A. Knowledge of ability to interpret New Mexico Uniform Traffic Codes,
Village ordinances and other appropriate regulations pertaining to
law enforcement and court-related matters.
B. Ability to type accurately 60 words per minute and perform light
bookkeeping functions.
C. Must obtain New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Certification for
radio transmission as specified by the New Mexico Law Enforcement
Academy.
D. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
E. Ability to establish working relationships with the governing body,
Village staff and the general public.
F. Knowledge of computer word processing and other program applications
desirable.
G. Previous experience in similar duties preferred.
There will be a six-month probationary period, at which time
an evaluation of job performance will be conducted and discussed with
the employee. At this time, the employee will either be made a permanent
employee, be allowed to continue on probationary period, not to exceed
one year total, or be terminated based on evaluation results.
