A. Whoever
shall use or permit any member of his/her family, or any servant or
employee, to use any water from the City waterworks system without
a license or other lawful authority, or whoever shall, without lawful
authority, open any fireplug, stopcock, valve or other fixture appertaining
to the waterworks system, or whoever shall shut off or let water into
or from any pipe without a license or authority so to do, or shall
injure or deface any part of the waterworks system, or whoever shall
throw or cause anything to be thrown in the reservoir or settling
basins of such system shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
B. Evidence. Proof of the existence of any pipe or conduit
connection or reconnection or the opening of any fire plug, stopcock,
valve or other figure appertaining to the waterworks system, the unauthorized
shutting off or letting of water into or from any pipe, or injury
to any part of the waterworks system, or of any obstruction of the
system as provided in this Section shall be taken as prima facia evidence
of the guilt of the person named in the City's records as receiving
the benefit of the subject services.
