A. Statement Of Purpose. The purpose of this policy is to ensure
a consistent recognizable image when communicating with the public.
It is the responsibility of all department heads to ensure use of
the City logo on brochures, internet homepages, signs, banners, stationery,
business cards, and any printed material which is made available to
the public either in hard copy or electronic form.
B. Logo Usage. The City logo is a registered trademark, and
any requests for usage outside of the City organization must be approved
by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.
C. General Guidelines.
1. The
City Administrator's office is responsible for incorporating the City
logo into all general information pieces and shall be consulted regarding
requests for usage of the logo.
2. Individual
departments shall be responsible for ensuring the use of the appropriate
logo consistently on their printed materials.
3. Secondary
logos such as those denoting an accreditation or affiliation may be
used as long as the City logo is also prominently displayed. Permission
to use secondary logos along with the City logo must be approved by
the City Administrator.
4. Only
the approved colors may be used for the City logo and the logo shall
not be stretched or distorted in any way, although it may be sized
proportionally up or down.
5. Use
of the logo as outlined above also applies to electronically produced
materials.
