The Board of Aldermen does hereby establish a Police Board, whose members shall consist of three (3) Aldermen.

The Mayor, with the approval of the Board of Aldermen, shall appoint three (3) Aldermen [one (1) from each ward] to serve on the Police Board.

The term of office of each member of the Police Board shall be for a period of two (2) years from the date of the appointment, but any member may be reappointed at the expiration of his/her term.

The purpose of this Board shall be to hear complaints from the persons deemed aggrieved by the law enforcement personnel or the Judicial Branch of the City of Desloge. Likewise, the purpose shall be to hear complaint from law enforcement personnel and the Judicial Branch deemed aggrieved by the citizens or citizen of the City of Desloge.

This Police Board shall study the legal process or law enforcement in the City of Desloge and make recommendations to the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen from time to time as they deem pertinent.
