Boxing, sparring and wrestling exhibitions, matches and contests
may be permitted within the City of Pittston when the promoters or
managers thereof comply with the laws of this commonwealth and the
requirements of this chapter; otherwise, they are hereby forbidden
and prohibited.
The Mayor may, in his discretion, grant and issue the necessary
license or permit for such boxing, sporting or wrestling exhibitions,

with any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction
thereof before the Mayor of the City of Pittston, be liable to a fine
or penalty of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 for each offense,
and, in default of the payment of said fine or penalty, the person
or persons so convicted shall be committed to the County Jail of the
County of Luzerne for a period not exceeding 30 days.
