No person shall operate a vessel in excess of Slow-No-Wake between Minnie Island and the eastern shore of Gardner Lake in the area north of a line running west to east from the southernmost point of the island to the shore, and south of a line running from west to east from the northernmost point of the island to the shore. The definition of "Slow-No-Wake" is as defined in Section 15-121-A1 (j) of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, as amended from time to time.
Any person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to a fine in an amount not to exceed $100 pursuant to § 15-139(b) of the Connecticut General Statutes. Each violation shall be considered a separate, repeat offense and subject to a separate fine. A fine not to exceed $100 shall be imposed for each repeat offense. The Montville Police Department shall enforce this chapter on behalf of the Town of Montville.
This chapter shall become effective upon the latest to occur of all of the following events: 1) 30 days after this chapter is adopted by the Montville Town Council; 2) publication of this chapter in a newspaper having general circulation within the Town of Montville and posting of this chapter in the affected area in accordance with § 15-138 of the Connecticut General Statutes; and 3) 60 days after submission of this chapter to the Commissioner of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, provided said Commissioner does not disapprove of this chapter within said sixty-day period.
