No person shall, for the purpose of hunting,
taking or killing any fowl or animal, discharge a firearm, gun, rifle
or bow and arrow, or any devices likely to cause injuries to human
beings, within 450 feet of any occupied dwelling or within 450 feet
of any school playground in the Township.
No person shall discharge a firearm, gun, rifle
or bow and arrow or any devices likely to cause injuries to human
beings upon or across any state, county or municipal highway or street
in the Township.
No person shall take or attempt to take animals
of any type, including birds or fowl, by means of a steel or other
trap, or set a steel or other trap for any animal, including birds
or fowl, in or upon any property within the Township, public or private,
without having first obtained the written permission of the owner
or occupant of the premises. Nothing contained herein shall prohibit
the owner or occupant from trapping or setting any such traps on premises
owned or occupied by such person.
Nothing contained in this article shall be construed
to be in conflict with the State Game Laws of New Jersey.

Violation of any provision of this article shall, upon conviction
thereof, be punished by a minimum fine of $100 or a maximum of $2,000
or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days or by a period
of community service not exceeding 90 days. Each and every violation
shall be considered a separate violation. Any person who is convicted
of violating the provisions of this article within one year of the
date of a previous violation and who was fined for the previous violation
may be sentenced by the court to an additional fine as a repeat offender.
The additional fine imposed as a repeat offender shall not be less
than the minimum or exceed the maximum fine provided herein, and same
shall be calculated separately from the fine imposed for the violation
of this article.
