No person shall park any vehicle or permit any unoccupied vehicle to be parked or stand in any zone designated as a fire lane or fire zone. Said lanes or zones shall be identified by signs and/or curb and road painting and striping.
A. 
Any vehicle parked or standing in violation of this chapter shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to safe and proper regulation of traffic and parking regulations as promulgated by this chapter.
B. 
Any member of the Borough Police Department may provide for the removal of such vehicle to a garage or other place designated by resolution of the Council.
C. 
Immediately after the vehicle has been so removed, the Police Department shall give written notice thereof to the registered owner by personal service or by certified mail addressed to the registered owner of the subject vehicle at his last known address.
D. 
Any vehicle so removed shall be retained and impounded, and the owner of such vehicle shall be required to pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.

Signs stating that vehicle parking, stopping or standing is not permitted, or that parking is limited to a specified time limit or to specific hours, or restricting parking to occupants of the premises or customers doing business on the premises, or to vehicles operated by other described persons, shall be conspicuously displayed on the street and/or premises, as the case may be, and shall conform to the following requirements:
A. 
Signs shall be not less than 12 inches by 18 inches in size and shall be constructed of metal and installed on a metal pole.
B. 
If parking is to be prohibited, the sign shall contain the words "No Parking," or if parking is to be limited or restricted, the sign shall clearly state the limitations or restrictions involved.
C. 
All signs and the location thereof on the street and/or premises shall, before posting, be approved by the Chief of Police or any such member of the Police Department as shall be designated by the Chief of Police for that purpose.
