The Chief of Police shall be active and vigilant in preserving
the peace and good order of the City, and at all times shall be on
the alert to suppress any riot or disorder in the City. The Chief
of Police shall perform all other duties required of him/her by law,
and by the various provisions of this Code.

It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to execute all orders
or process issued by the Municipal Judge or other Officer of the City
having authority to issue the same, and to make return thereof according
to law.

It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to attend the Municipal
Court when in session, either in person or by Deputy, and to preserve
order therein.

It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police to diligently inquire
into and report to the City Manager and City Attorney all violations
of the provisions of this Code or other City ordinances.

The Chief of Police shall inspect all streets and alleys in
the City and report any dangerous or unhealthy conditions existing
to the City Manager.

The Chief of Police shall give, in writing, to the City Manager
monthly a full account of all the money that may have been received
and paid out by him/her by virtue of his/her office and also the fees
collected by him/her and to whom paid.
