Editor's Note: All references throughout this Code to the Burgettstown Police Department and officers of said Department shall be construed to refer to the organization and officers currently under contract to provide police services to the Borough.
Effective April 14, 2010, the Burgettstown Police Department is dissolved and terminated.
A. 
All insignias, mottos, badges and the like as pertains to vehicles, uniforms and any other matter involving the Police Department are hereby revoked, canceled and abandoned, wherein the same shall no longer be used, nor be considered to be the official or quasi-official identification for the Borough and/or its Police Department.
B. 
All officers who have not already done so shall immediately return to the Mayor of Burgettstown Borough any and all Borough equipment and/or property, as well as any and all identification cards, badges and the like.
C. 
Henceforth, no person shall represent himself or herself as an employee or member of the Burgettstown Borough Police Department except as pertains to prosecutions of summary offenses and/or criminal offenses filed prior to April 14, 2010.
D. 
To the extent that any former employee or officer is called upon to testify and/or otherwise participate in any action filed prior to April 14, 2010, the Borough of Burgettstown shall continue to be responsible for compensation as pertains to attendance fees and the like as was previously established and/or in place.
E. 
The Washington County District Attorney's office shall have supervision, custody and control over the evidence storage locker, daily patrol logs, incident reports, and all criminal and investigative records and/or files of any nature located in the repository of the Borough of Burgettstown Police Department. All records, evidence and any items so obtained shall be under the direct control and supervision of the Washington County detectives of the office of the District Attorney until further order of court [per order of April 15, 2010, by President Judge Debbie O'Dell Seneca at No. MD 310-10 (Criminal Division)].

The Police Department providing services to the Borough through a valid agreement, when patrolling and serving this municipality, shall use the municipal parking ticket attached hereto as "Attachment 1."[1] Said municipal parking tickets are made a part hereof by said attachment. Said municipal parking ticket form may be used to enforce the laws and ordinances of this municipality.
