The Collector shall be elected as set forth in Section
105.020 of this Code.
The Collector shall perform all the duties specified in this
Code and shall perform such other duties as may be directed by the
City Clerk and/or Mayor.
The Collector shall annually, at such times as may be designated
by ordinance, make a detailed report to the Board of Aldermen stating
the various monies collected by him/her during the year, and the amounts
uncollected, and the names of the persons from which he/she failed
to collect, and the causes therefor.

The City Collector or his/her deputy, at whatever time is designated
by the Board of Aldermen, shall give bond, payable to the City, in
the amount of a minimum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) conditioned
upon the faithful performance of the duties of his/her office according
to law.

A. Collect And Enforce Tax Payments. It shall be the duty
of the City Collector or his/her deputy to collect and enforce the
payment of all taxes lawfully assessed in such manner and under such
rules and regulations as may be provided by law for collection and
enforcement of the payments of State and County taxes and he/she or
his/her deputy shall, annually, make out and return, under oath, to
the Board of Aldermen a list of delinquent taxes remaining due and
uncollected on January first (1st) of each year to be known as the
delinquent list, the amount of which, as approved by the Board of
Aldermen after examination and a finding that such taxes are properly
returned as delinquent, shall be credited on the account of the Collector.
B. Turn Funds Over To Finance Officer — Make Statements And Settlements. The City Collector or his/her deputy shall pay over the taxes collected
to the City Finance Officer at the times and in the manner provided
by law for the payment of County taxes to the County Treasurer. He/she
shall make such statements and settlement for such taxes with the
Board of Aldermen and at such time as may be provided by law for statements
and settlements with the County Court for County taxes and all taxes
shall bear the same rate of interest. The same penalties shall attach
to the non-payment of such taxes when due, as may be provided by law
in cases of County taxes, and shall be a lien on the property described
in such tax bill.
C. Enforce Special Payments. It will be the duty of the City
Collector to collect and enforce the payment of any special taxes,
fees, dues and licenses and other obligations owing to the City which
may be levied by the Board of Aldermen or which may be directed to
collect by the Board of Aldermen from time to time and shall also
maintain a ledger consisting of City-issued special tax bills.

The ordinance of the City of Vinita Park as related to the Collector
shall be amended by providing that in the event there is not a Collector
elected under City ordinance that the acting Collector, appointed
by the Mayor with the approval of the Board of Aldermen shall receive
pay not as set out in the ordinance for the Collector but as set by
the Mayor and the Board of Aldermen.
