The Mayor and Council believe in the best interests of the Borough
of Bellmawr that the position of Fire Prevention Specialist be created.
Under the direction of the Fire Official, the Fire Prevention
Specialist inspects premises of buildings to detect and eliminate
fire hazards and to enforce the provisions of relevant fire safety
codes and related regulations and investigates all causes of fires
or explosions and conducts fire prevention inspections in accordance
with the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code.
There is hereby created the position of Fire Prevention Specialist
whose duties shall be as mentioned above and per the job description
for said position.
The compensation for such position shall be as set forth in
the Borough Salary Ordinance.
