A. 
The Mayor, with the consent and approval of the Board of Aldermen, may appoint the City Administrator to serve at will and until his/her successor is appointed and qualified. The City Administrator shall be bonded in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00). In the event that a City Administrator is appointed in accordance herewith, the terms of this Section 115.160 shall be applicable.
B. 
The City Administrator shall be a voter under the laws and Constitution of this State and shall have attained the age of twenty-one (21).
C. 
The City Administrator shall assist the Mayor and Board of Aldermen in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the City and shall advise the City Clerk, deal with the media, and consult with other governmental agencies on behalf of the City during the normal business day at City Hall. He/she shall serve under the direction of the Mayor and shall report his/her activities to the Board of Aldermen at the first regular meeting of each month.
D. 
The City Administrator shall receive such compensation as is provided by ordinance.
