Sun-tanning establishments shall provide:
A. Shields
to prevent users from coming in contact with the lamps and physical
aids to keep the user at the proper exposure distance.
B. More
accurate timers to turn off the lamps after no more than 10 minutes.
C. Protection
against electrical shocks and fires.
D. Physical
aids such as handrails to help prevent falls.
E. Maintenance
of the temperature in booths below 100° F.
Tanning booths shall have a prominently displayed, easily readable
warning that states:
"Danger-ultraviolet radiation. Follow instructions as with natural
sunlight. Overexposure can cause eye injury and sunburn; repeated
exposure may cause aging of the skin and skin cancer. Medications
or cosmetics applied to the skin may increase your sensitivity to
ultraviolet light. Consult a physician before using lamp if taking
any medication or if you believe yourself sensitive to sunlight. Pregnant
women should consult with their obstetrician."

Each sun-tanning booth shall have, for the patrons' usage, goggles
of sufficient quantity to protect the user's eyes from the direct
exposure to the sunlamp.
The Board of Health may require the owner or operator of said
establishment to set aside an area to be designated as an emergency
aid station. There may be a trained attendant on duty during all hours
that said activity is in actual operation. The Board of Health may
require a non-pay telephone to be installed in the emergency aid station
and first aid equipment that it deems necessary to ensure the safety
of the general public.
