No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in this section, during the days and/or hours specified in the following schedule:

B. 
Any person violating any provision of this section shall pay a fine of $15 and costs of prosecution.
C. 
Any person violating this section is subject to removal of the offending vehicle by the Chartiers Township Police Department in accordance with the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code.
A. 
Definitions. As used in this section, the following words and terms shall be construed and be defined as follows:
SPECIAL NEEDS
Parking permit may be granted by the Township Police Department when a resident must park permanently in the roadway or alley because of physical handicap or because there is no adequate available off-street parking.
SPECIAL OCCASION
Parking will be permitted by calling the Township Police Department when a resident does not have adequate available off-street parking because of a temporary visitation of/by nonresident or invitees.
STAND or STANDING
The halting of a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily for the purpose of and while actually engaged in receiving or discharging passengers.
VEHICLE
Every device in, upon, or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway, except devices used exclusively upon rails or tracks.
B. 
Unlawful parking. Except where otherwise provided herein, it is unlawful at all times to park or leave standing any vehicle on any Township roadway or alley or to park on the cartway of any unpaved Township roadway or alley.
C. 
Lawful parking. It is lawful to park a vehicle on one side of the following Township roadways:

D. 
Parking permits. Any resident may apply at the Township building for a permit for on-street parking for long-term special needs or for a short-term special occasion. Special needs permits shall be renewed annually by reapplication to the Township. All permits shall specify the location and duration of permitted parking.
E. 
Penalty.
(1) 
For the first recorded violation of this section, a written warning shall be issued, and the owner/driver shall be notified to remove said vehicle immediately.
(2) 
Any subsequent violations shall result in a penalty of $25.
(3) 
Failure to pay such penalties to the Township Treasurer within five days of issuance shall be subject to the enforcement and penalty provisions of Subsection E(4).
(4) 
Any person violating Subsection E(3) shall be guilty of a summary offense and, upon conviction by a Magisterial District Judge, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $100 plus costs and/or imprisonment of a term not to exceed 30 days.
F. 
Presumption as to guilt. The owner of any vehicle parked in violation of this section shall be prima facie guilty of such violation.
G. 
Enforcement authority. The Board of Supervisors delegate to the Township Police Department the authority to determine whether a violation exists and to serve such notice of violation upon the owner/operator.
H. 
Duties of enforcement personnel.
(1) 
It shall be the duty of enforcement personnel to report violations of this section by recording the following information:
(a) 
The location where the vehicle is parked.
(b) 
The state license number of the vehicle.
(c) 
The date and time of day that such violation is recorded.
(d) 
Any other facts which would be necessary to a thorough understanding of the circumstances attending the violation.
(2) 
The enforcement officer reporting the violation shall attach to the vehicle a notice to the owner or driver that the vehicle is parked in violation of this section and instructing the owner or driver to pay the penalty indicated to the Township Treasurer within five days.

A. 
Definitions.
As used in this section, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
MOTOR VEHICLE
A vehicle which is self-propelled except an electric personal assistive mobility device.
PARK or PARKING
The halting of a vehicle, whether occupied or not.
STAND or STANDING
The halting of a vehicle, whether occupied or not.
STOP or STOPPING
The halting of a vehicle, whether occupied or not.
VEHICLE
Every device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon a highway, except devices used exclusively upon rails or tracks. The term does not include a self-propelled wheelchair or an electrical mobility device operated by and designated for the exclusive use of a person with a mobility-related disability.
B. 
Prohibition. Except when in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic-control device, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle or motor vehicle:
(1) 
Along the north side of West Pike Street in Meadow Lands, Chartiers Township, Pennsylvania, from Ryan Lane to Country Club Road.
(2) 
Within 200 feet of the driveway located at 710 North Main Street (SR 1007).

C. 
Savings Clause. If any subsection of this section is found to be unenforceable, such a finding shall not affect any remaining portions of this section.
D. 
Penalty. Any person violating this section shall upon conviction by a court of competent jurisdiction be fined $50 plus costs and fees.
