A. Except
as otherwise provided in this Chapter, every vehicle stopped or parked
upon a roadway where there are adjacent curbs shall be so stopped
or parked with the right-hand wheels of such vehicle parallel to and
within eighteen (18) inches of the right-hand curb and headed in the
direction of lawful traffic movement.
B. No
person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle upon any State maintained
highway or through street as established herein in such manner or
under such conditions as to leave available less than the following
distances in each lane or lanes of directional travel:
1. Two-lane roadway, thirteen (13) feet from the centerline in each
directional lane of travel.
2. Three-lane roadway, thirteen (13) feet in each respective lanes.
3. Four-lane undivided roadway, twenty-five (25) feet from the centerline
in each two (2) directional lanes of travel.
4. Four-lane divided roadways, thirteen (13) feet in each respective
lane.
On those streets which have been signed or marked by the City
Traffic Engineer for angle parking, no person shall park or stand
a vehicle other than at the angle to the curb or edge of the roadway
indicated by such signs or markings.
