The position of Clerk of the Cool Valley Municipal Division
of the St. Louis County Circuit Court is hereby established. The Clerk
shall be appointed by the Board of Aldermen. The position may be held
by the City Clerk or Deputy City Clerks who may perform other duties
for the City in addition to those required of the Municipal Court
Clerk. The Municipal Court Clerk shall perform such duties and have
such authority as may be prescribed by Statute, ordinance and Court
rule or as may be otherwise prescribed by the Municipal Judge or the
Presiding Judge of the St. Louis County Circuit Court.
Within fifteen (15) days after appointment and before entering
upon the discharge of the above-described duties of office, the Court
Clerk shall give bond to the City in the sum of twenty-five thousand
dollars ($25,000.00) conditioned upon the faithful performance of
said duties and the said Court Clerk will pay over all monies belonging
to the City, as provided by law, that may come into the Court Clerk's
hands.
