It shall be unlawful to transport or operate a vehicle for the
transportation of solid waste, recyclables or compost material contrary
to the provisions of this Article.

A. All
vehicles used for the transportation of solid waste, recyclables or
compost material shall be maintained in a safe, clean and sanitary
condition and shall be constructed, maintained and operated in order
to prevent spillage, blowing or scattering of solid waste, recyclables
or compost material therefrom.
B. No
vehicle will be permitted to use the solid waste facilities if the
material to be deposited is not covered. A cover must be securely
placed over the solid waste, recyclables or compost material to prevent
spillage, blowing or scattering during transportation. A cover must

C. No
vehicle may be used by a commercial hauler for the purpose of transporting
solid waste unless said vehicle was specifically designed for the
transportation of solid waste or has been modified to meet all requirements
of applicable State and Federal law and other ordinances and regulations.
Notwithstanding any other provision herein, all pickups and trailers
used by a commercial hauler to unload solid waste shall be equipped
with an operational hoist, which hoist shall be used for the unloading
of solid waste within the City of Maryville facility.
D. Commercial
haulers attempting to use vehicles not specifically designed for the
collection and transportation of solid waste or any vehicle which
does not comply with all of the requirements of law and the ordinances
of the City of Maryville will not be allowed to deposit waste at the
solid waste disposal area.
