This article applies to all explosives except small-arms ammunition
and fireworks.
A.
The manufacture of explosives is prohibited within the municipality.
A permit issued pursuant to this chapter shall be obtained from the
Fire Marshal or CEO to have, keep, use, or store any explosives.
B.
Whenever blasting is to be conducted in the vicinity of gas, electric,
water, fire alarm, telephone, telegraph or steam utilities, the blaster
shall notify the appropriate representatives of such utilities at
least 48 hours in advance of the blasting, specifying the location
and intended time of such blasting. Verbal notice shall be confirmed
with written notice. In an emergency, this time limit may be waived
by the Fire Marshal.
