The Town Board in its discretion may call a public hearing on any
proposed designation of a landmark or of an historic district. If
the Town Board exercises its right to hold a public hearing, said
hearing shall be noticed and held concurrently with the Commission
hearing. The Commission, property owners, and any interested parties
may present testimony or documentary evidence at the hearing, which
will become part of a record regarding the historic, architectural
or cultural importance of the proposed landmark or historic district.
