As authorized by and in accordance with Sections 335.020 and 335.030 of this Title, when signs are erected giving notice thereof, drivers of vehicles shall stop at every intersection or other location, designated herein, before proceeding.

All State and Federal marked highways within this municipality, except where otherwise provided for in this Schedule, are hereby declared throughway and all traffic operating in such municipality shall come to a complete stop before operating onto or across such declared throughways.

The following locations shall be temporary stop sign locations:
Fourth Street and LeSieur Avenue, a temporary stop sign is hereby authorized particularly to include the intersection and traffic flowing east and west
Fourth Street and LeSieur Avenue, the said intersection being in close proximity to the St. Eustachius Catholic School is a traveled pedestrianway for school children and therefore, a school crossing zone is hereby designated at the said intersection in order to protect the public health, safety and welfare
McCrate Avenue, northbound and southbound traffic at:
Twelfth Street, a two-faced portable stop sign
Tenth Street, a two-faced portable stop sign
Note: The above-mentioned portable stop signs shall be in place and in effect only at such time that ball games are being played at the adjacent City of Portageville ball fields. Said signs shall be set in place and shall be in effect fifteen (15) minutes prior to the starting time of the first of any such game played on said ball fields and removed fifteen (15) minutes following the end of the last game played on said ball fields, the above times applying only from the first of May of any given year through the 31st of August of any given year.
Huffman Street, northbound and southbound traffic at Eighth Street. A temporary, movable stop sign shall be located on Huffman Street at the intersection of Eighth and Huffman Streets, stopping northbound and southbound traffic on Huffman Street. The effective hours of said stop sign shall be weekdays during the school year from 7:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. and 2:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. The Portageville Public School System shall furnish the stop signs and personnel necessary for the placement and storage of such signs.
