The words and phrases used in this article shall, for the purpose
of this article, have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by
Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York,
and the following words and phrases, which are not defined by Article
1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, shall have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section for the
purposes of the parking provisions of this Village:
HOLIDAYS
New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving and Christmas.
MAIN STREET/GENESEE STREET
Main Street and Genesee Street are interchangeable names
for the same Village highway.

POLICE OFFICER
Any person employed full- or part-time or designated as a
police officer for the Town of Camillus or for the Onondaga County
Sheriff's Department or for the New York State Police Department.

The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited in any of the following
locations for a period longer than two hours between the hours of
6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday:
A. On both sides of Main Street, except where otherwise prohibited or
limited.
B. On the west side of North Street within 90 feet of Main Street.
The stopping of vehicles, except buses, is hereby prohibited
in any of the following locations:
A. On the north side of Genesee Street between its intersection with
North Street and a point 50 feet east of the intersection of North
Street.
B. On the south side of Main/Genesee Street from its intersection with
Leroy Street east to the Village line, except buses.

C. On the north side of Main/Genesee Street from its intersection with
Bingham Place westerly approximately 170 feet to the driveway of the
existing Green Gate Inn, except buses.

A. Angle parking. At all times that parking of motor vehicles is otherwise
authorized in the following locations, such vehicles shall be parked
at an angle with either the front of the vehicle or the rear of the
vehicle facing towards the center line of the roadway:
(1) On the north side of Genesee Street from North Street to the extension
of Elm Street.
(2) On the south side of Haney Lane easterly from a point that is 89
feet easterly from the intersection of Haney Lane and Mechanic Street.

(3) On the east side of Feederbank Road from Genesee Street to the bridge
over the canal feeder.
B. Parallel parking. Except where angle parking is authorized, every
vehicle stopped, standing or parked partly or wholly upon a highway
shall be so stopped, standing or parked parallel to the edge of the
roadway, headed in the direction of authorized traffic movement.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall
be guilty of a traffic infraction and, upon conviction therefor, be
punishable by a fine not exceeding $25 for the first offense, by a
fine not exceeding the sum of $50 for the second offense and by a
fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days,
or both, for the third and any subsequent offenses.
