This chapter provides for regulating, controlling and inspecting
the use and development of residential rental housing units within
the Village of Camillus in order to promote and protect, to the fullest
extent permissible, the environment of the Village and its public
health, safety and general welfare in accordance with the purposes
outlined in the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building
Code, as amended from time to time.

Properties affected shall include all non-owner-occupied residential rental dwelling units within the Village of Camillus including rental single-family residences, two-family rental residences, rental dwelling units located in mixed-use buildings, and all multiple-family residences (as defined in the New York Multiple Residency Law and the Uniform Code), each such individual dwelling unit hereinafter being an "affected premises." Properties affected shall also include bed-and-breakfast dwellings as defined in §
110-7 of the Code of the Village of Camillus.
The fee to the Village of Camillus for filing the rental registration
form shall be $25 per rental dwelling unit in the affected premises,
to be paid at time of filing the form. There is no separate fee for
the certificate of compliance. Fees may be added or changed from time
to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
Violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine not
to exceed $250 for each violation, with each day representing a separate
and distinct violation.
