E-Verify is an information system that allows employers to compare information from an employee's I-9 form, Employment Eligibility Verification, to data compiled by the United States Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.
The purpose of implementing E-Verify is to confirm newly hired employees' employment eligibility.
The Town of Cumberland shall immediately take steps by and through the Town's Department of Human Resources to institute and utilize E-Verify.
