The Town of Windsor shall be divided into seven voting districts
identified as District 1, District 2, District 3, District 4, District
5, District 6, and District 7.
Voting District 1 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at the point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Interstate 91 and the Windsor-Hartford Town line, said point being
located opposite the southern boundary of Norman Avenue; thence running
southwesterly along said Windsor-Hartford Town line, a distance of
approximately 7,000 feet, to a point marking the intersection of the
Windsor, Hartford, and Bloomfield Town lines; thence running northerly
along the Windsor-Bloomfield Town line, a distance of approximately
12,500 feet, to its intersection with the centerline of Park Avenue;
thence running easterly along said centerline of Park Avenue to its
intersection with the centerline of Interstate 91; thence running
southerly along said centerline of Interstate 91, crossing Rood Avenue,
Route 218, and Matianuck Avenue to the point and place of beginning.
Voting District 2 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Interstate 91 and the centerline of Park Avenue; thence running
westerly along said centerline of Park Avenue to its intersection
with the Windsor-Bloomfield Town line; thence running northerly along
said Windsor-Bloomfield Town line, a distance of approximately 8,500
feet, to a point marking the centerline of Bloomfield Avenue; thence
running easterly along said centerline of Bloomfield Avenue to its
intersection with the centerline of Addison Road; thence running northerly
along said centerline of Addison Road to a point opposite an intermittent
watercourse, said point being located within 175 Addison Road; thence
running easterly across 175 Addison Road and along said intermittent
watercourse, crossing 176 Addison Road and 301 Pigeon Hill Road, to
its point of intersection with Mill Brook; thence running northerly
and easterly along said Mill Brook to its intersection with the centerline
of Interstate 91; thence running southerly along said centerline of
Interstate 91, crossing Bloomfield Avenue and Capen Street, to the
point and place of beginning.
Voting District 3 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at the point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Interstate 91 and the Windsor-Hartford Town line, said point being
located opposite the southern boundary of Norman Avenue; thence running
easterly along said Windsor-Hartford Town line, a distance of approximately
550 feet, to a point marking the corner of the Windsor-Hartford Town
line; thence running southerly along the Windsor-Hartford Town line,
a distance of approximately 625 feet, to a point marking a corner
of the Windsor-Hartford Town line; thence running westerly along the
Windsor-Hartford Town line, a distance of approximately 1,025 feet,
to a point marking a corner of the Windsor-Hartford Town line; thence
running southerly along the Windsor-Hartford Town line, a distance
of approximately 1,400 feet, to a point marking the south-southwesterly
corner of the Windsor-Hartford Town line; thence running easterly
along the southernmost Windsor-Hartford Town line, a distance of approximately
675 feet, to a point marking the corner of the Windsor-Hartford Town
line, said point being the southeastern corner of 8 Windsor Avenue;
thence running northeasterly along the Windsor-Hartford Town line,
a distance of approximately 2,000 feet, to a point marking the corner
of the Windsor-Hartford Town line, said point marking the southern
boundary of 36 Meadow Road; thence running easterly along the Windsor-Hartford
Town line, a distance of approximately 2,600 feet, to a point on the
Windsor-South Windsor Town line, said point being located in the approximate
centerline of the Connecticut River and marking the southeasterly
corner of the Town of Windsor; thence running northerly along said
Windsor-South Windsor Town line and the centerline of said Connecticut
River, a distance of approximately 8,500 feet, to a point opposite
the mouth of an intermittent watercourse situated on the west bank
of said Connecticut River; thence running northwesterly across said
Connecticut River and in a general northwesterly direction along said
intermittent watercourse to the centerline of a railroad; thence running
northerly along the centerline of said railroad, a distance of approximately
3,500 feet, to its intersection with the centerline of Island Road;
thence running westerly along said centerline of Island Road to its
intersection with the centerline of Windsor Avenue; thence running
southerly along said centerline of Windsor Avenue to its intersection
with the centerline of Park Avenue; thence running westerly along
said centerline of Park Avenue to its intersection with the centerline
of Interstate 91; thence running southerly along said centerline of
Interstate 91, crossing Rood Avenue, Route 218, and Matianuck Avenue,
to the point and place of beginning.
Voting District 4 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Interstate 91 and the centerline of Park Avenue; thence running
easterly along said centerline of Park Avenue to its intersection
with the centerline of Windsor Avenue; thence running northerly along
said centerline of Windsor Avenue to its intersection with the centerline
of Island Road; thence running easterly along said centerline of Island
Road to its intersection with the centerline of a railroad; thence
running southerly along said railroad, a distance of approximately
3,500 feet, to an intermittent watercourse; thence running southeasterly
along said intermittent watercourse to a point on the west bank of
the Connecticut River; thence running southeasterly across said Connecticut
River to a point opposite the mouth of said intermittent watercourse,
said point being located in the approximate centerline of the Connecticut
River and marking the Windsor-South Windsor Town line; thence running
northerly along said Windsor-South Windsor Town line and the centerline
of said Connecticut River, a distance of approximately 5,800 feet,
to a point opposite the mouth of the Farmington River; thence running
northwesterly across said Connecticut River and along the approximate
centerline of said Farmington River to a point opposite the southern
property boundary of 406 Poquonock Avenue; thence running southwesterly
across said Farmington River and the southern property boundary of
406 Poquonock Avenue to a point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Poquonock Avenue with the centerline of Pigeon Hill Road; thence
running westerly along said centerline of Pigeon Hill Road to its
intersection with the centerline of Interstate 91; thence running
southerly along said centerline of Interstate 91, crossing Bloomfield
Avenue and Capen Street, to the point and place of beginning.
Voting District 5 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Interstate 91 and the centerline of Pigeon Hill Road; thence running
easterly along said centerline of Pigeon Hill Road to its intersection
with the centerline of Poquonock Avenue; thence running northeasterly
across said Poquonock Avenue and the southern property boundary of
406 Poquonock Avenue to a point in the approximate centerline of the
Farmington River; thence running southeasterly along said Farmington
River to a point on the west bank of the Connecticut River; thence
running southeasterly across said Connecticut River to a point opposite
the mouth of the Farmington River, said point being located in the
approximate centerline of the Connecticut River and marking the Windsor-South
Windsor Town line; thence running northerly along said Windsor-South
Windsor Town line and the Windsor-East Windsor Town line, a distance
of approximately 23,200 feet, to a point marking the northeasterly
corner of the Town of Windsor, said point being located in the centerline
of the Connecticut River and marking the intersection of the Windsor-East,
Windsor and Windsor Locks Town lines; thence running westerly along
the Windsor-Windsor Locks Town line, a distance of approximately 925
feet, to a point marking the centerline of Palisado Avenue; thence
running southerly along said centerline of Palisado Avenue to its
intersection with the centerline of Hayden Station Road; thence running
northwesterly along said centerline of Hayden Station Road to its
intersection with the centerline of Interstate 91; thence running
southerly along said centerline of Interstate 91, crossing Hayden
Station Road, Kennedy Road and Poquonock Avenue, to the point and
place of beginning.
Voting District 6 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of the centerline
of Interstate 91 and Mill Brook; thence running westerly and southerly
along said Mill Brook to its point of intersection with an intermittent
watercourse, said point being located within 301 Pigeon Hill Road;
thence running westerly along said intermittent watercourse, crossing
301 Pigeon Hill Road and 176 Addison Road, to its intersection with
the centerline of Addison Road; thence running southerly along said
centerline of Addison Road to its intersection with the centerline
of Bloomfield Avenue; thence running westerly along said centerline
of Bloomfield Avenue to its intersection with the Windsor-Bloomfield
Town line; thence running northerly along said Windsor-Bloomfield
Town line, a distance of approximately 2,000 feet, to a point marking
a corner of the Windsor-Bloomfield Town line; thence running westerly
along said Windsor-Bloomfield Town line, a distance of approximately
15,300 feet, to a point marking a corner of said Windsor-Bloomfield
Town line; thence running northerly along said Windsor-Bloomfield
Town line, a distance of approximately 5,600 feet, to a point in the
centerline of the Farmington River, said point marking the intersection
of the Windsor, Bloomfield, and East Granby Town lines; thence running
in a general northeasterly, easterly and southeasterly direction along
said centerline of the Farmington River to a point opposite the centerline
of Old River Street; thence running easterly along said centerline
of Old River Street and the centerline of River Street, crossing Kennedy
Road, to its intersection with the centerline of Hayden Station Road;
thence running southeasterly along said centerline of Hayden Station
Road to its intersection with the centerline of Interstate 91; thence
running southwesterly along said centerline of Interstate 91, crossing
Kennedy Road, Poquonock Avenue and Pigeon Hill Road, to the point
and place of beginning.
Voting District 7 shall consist of the area bounded and described
as follows:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of the Bloomfield-East
Granby and Windsor Town lines, said point being located on the approximate
centerline of the Farmington River; thence running northerly along
the Windsor-East Granby Town line, a distance of approximately 13,700
feet, to a point marking the northwesterly corner of the Town of Windsor;
thence running southeasterly along the Windsor-East Granby Town line,
a distance of approximately 7,900 feet, to a point marking the intersection
of the Windsor-East Granby and Windsor Locks Town lines; thence running
southeasterly along said Windsor-Windsor Locks Town line, a distance
of approximately 18,300 feet, to a point marking the corner of the
Windsor-Windsor Locks Town line; thence running northeasterly along
said Windsor-Windsor Locks Town line, a distance of approximately
2,300 feet, to a point marking the corner of the Windsor-Windsor Locks
Town line; thence running easterly along said Windsor-Windsor Locks
Town line, a distance of approximately 2,800 feet; thence running
southerly along said centerline of Palisado Avenue to its intersection
with the centerline of Hayden Station Road; thence running northwesterly
along said centerline of Hayden Station Road to its intersection with
the centerline of River Street; thence running westerly along said
centerline of River Street to its intersection and junction with the
centerline of the southerly portion of Old River Street; thence running
westerly again along said centerline of Old River Street and its projection
to a point at the centerline of the Farmington River; thence running
along said centerline of the Farmington River in a general northwesterly,
northerly, westerly and southwesterly direction to its intersection
with the Bloomfield -East Granby and Windsor Town lines, said point
being the point and place of beginning.
