[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of the Township of Potter 8-14-2002 by Ord. No. 92. Amendments noted where
applicable.]
It is the intent of this chapter to establish
a uniform system of property/dwelling/building address numbering within
the Township of Potter in order that there be an accurate address
database in connection with the Township of Potter's participation
in the Beaver County enhanced 9-1-1 System and establish a uniform
system of posting and display of address identification numbering
in order that property/dwelling/building addresses within the Township
of Potter may be easily located in emergency situations.
Within 90 days after notification by the Township
of Potter, the owner and/or occupants of each property/dwelling/building
shall post the address identification number assigned by the Township.
The identification numbers to be posted as provided in § 78-2 shall be on address signs initially supplied by the Township. The address signs shall be made of six-inch by twelve-inch aluminum plate with a white reflective Mylar background with four-inch "B" series black letters or numbers. The Township shall supply the original sign plate, free of charge, to all property owner and/or occupants. For any additional or replacement plates, the property owner and/or occupants shall be required to pay the current price thereof.

visible from the public right-of-way or private right-of-way.
E.
Regardless of the type of display, the address identification
plate must be clearly visible, the view of the plate not to be obstructed
by vegetation, trees, foliage or any other object.
A.
In conjunction with the Township of Potter's participation
in the Beaver County 9-1-1 System, a mapping of the public and private
rights-of-way within the Township of Potter has been prepared by Daniel
C. Baker Associates, Inc., and is entitled "Enhanced 9-1-1 Geographic
Database." Said "Enhanced 9-1-1 Geographic Database" is incorporated
in this chapter by reference.
B.

all public and private rights-of-way shall be designated or named
or redesignated or renamed as indicated on said "Enhanced 9-1-1 Geographic
Database."

a designation other than "Lane."
A.
The Township Supervisors, or any officer or employee
so designated by the Township Supervisors, are hereby authorized to
give written notice, either by personal service or by First Class
United States Mail to the owner or occupant, as the case may be, of
any premises whereupon the address identification plate at the premises
is not placed as required by this chapter directing and requiring
such owner or occupant to place the address identification plate so
as to conform with the requirements of this chapter within 15 days
of such notice.
B.

neglect, fail or refuse to comply with such notice within the period
of time stated herein, the Township, by and through its employees,

the Township for the actual expense of the placement thereof plus
10% together with any additional penalty authorized by law and said
sums may be collected from the owner, owners or occupants, as the
case may be, in the manner provided by law.
Any owner, owners or occupants who shall violate
or fail, neglect or refuse to comply with any of the provisions of
this chapter shall, upon summary conviction thereof, be sentenced
to pay a fine of not more than $600, plus the costs of prosecution
and in default of payment of such fine and costs be subject to a term
of imprisonment in the Beaver County Jail not to exceed 90 days; provided
