A. 
When members of the public make requests of the Township to purchase land, it is necessary for various administrative tasks to take place prior to the processing of the actual sales, and the requested property has to be reviewed by many of the municipal departments to establish, among other things, value, public need, etc. It is necessary to charge an application fee in order to assist in the payment of administrative costs involved in the processing of a land sale request.
B. 
A nonrefundable application fee of $75 shall be made payable to the Township of Buena Vista upon the filing of a completed land sale request to the Township Clerk.
C. 
A deposit of $100 shall be made payable to the Township of Buena Vista at the time of the filing of a land sale request to the Township Clerk. This deposit will be deducted from the final purchase price of the property once the applicant is the successful bidder. If the applicant is not the successful bidder, the Township decides not to sell, the applicant decides, in writing, prior to initiating a public land sale, that he/she wishes not to purchase the property, or the title search is not clear, then the deposit of $100, minus any expenses, will be refunded to the applicant.
D. 
All sales shall be conducted in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:12-13.
