It shall be unlawful from and after the effective date of this chapter for any person, association, partnership or corporation to put on or conduct a circus, carnival, show or other exhibition for money or hire in any place within the Town of LaFayette, unless such person, association, partnership or corporation so conducting the same shall have obtained a license to do so from the Town Clerk of the Town.

The fee for such license shall be set from time to time by the Town Board, and such license shall expire upon the closing of the particular circus, carnival, show or other exhibition for which it is issued. Such license shall not be required in regard to circuses, carnivals, shows or exhibitions conducted by any educational, religious, charitable, firemen's or fraternal organization located in the Town.

Any person, association, partnership or corporation violating the provisions of this chapter shall be punishable as set forth in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Town Code.
